This Code of Conduct establishes the standards expected of every member and helps ensure our community remains a trusted environment where licensed real estate agents and brokers can confidently build relationships and exchange referrals.
By becoming a member, you agree to uphold the following principles.
Professional Membership
Membership is available exclusively to licensed real estate agents and licensed real estate brokers in good standing.
Members are responsible for maintaining an active real estate license and promptly notifying Real Estate Referral Exchange™ of any change in licensing status.
Providing false, misleading, or inaccurate information during the application process or after approval may result in suspension or termination of membership.
Professional Conduct
Members agree to conduct themselves with honesty, professionalism, and respect in every interaction.
Members are expected to:
- Treat fellow members with courtesy and respect.
- Communicate professionally and promptly.
- Represent themselves and their brokerage truthfully.
- Maintain ethical business practices.
- Honor referral commitments whenever possible.
Professional relationships are the foundation of our community.
Referrals
Members are encouraged to develop referral relationships that benefit both professionals and their clients.
Real Estate Referral Exchange™ provides a platform for members to connect but does not participate in referral agreements, commission negotiations, transaction management, or dispute resolution.
Members are solely responsible for ensuring that all referral arrangements comply with:
- State real estate laws
- Brokerage policies
- REALTOR® Association rules (if applicable)
- Licensing regulations
- Local, state, and federal laws
Networking Site Only Disclaimer
Real Estate Referral Exchange™ is an independent networking platform. We do not act as a real estate broker, referral broker, escrow agent, employer, or representative of any member. We do not negotiate, participate in, enforce, supervise, or guarantee referral agreements, referral fees, commissions, brokerage relationships, transactions, or client outcomes. All such matters remain solely the responsibility of the participating licensed real estate professionals and their respective brokerages, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
Member Profiles
Members are responsible for maintaining accurate and current profile information.
Profiles should include truthful information regarding:
- Brokerage affiliation
- Service areas
- Professional experience
- Specialties
- Contact information
Professional headshots and biographies should accurately represent the member.
Communication
Members should use the platform to build professional relationships.
The following activities are prohibited:
- Harassment
- Threatening behavior
- Discrimination
- Profanity directed toward members
- Spam or unsolicited mass messaging
- Misleading advertising
- False or deceptive statements
Professional disagreements should always be handled respectfully.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Members must respect the privacy of fellow members and their clients.
Information obtained through the member directory may only be used for legitimate professional purposes.
Members agree not to:
- Sell member information.
- Copy or distribute the directory.
- Harvest email addresses.
- Share confidential member information without permission.
Platform Integrity
Members agree not to:
- Create duplicate accounts.
- Share login credentials.
- Attempt unauthorized access.
- Upload malicious software.
- Misrepresent another individual or business.
- Use automated software to collect member information.
Maintaining a secure community protects every member.
Reporting Concerns
Members who observe behavior inconsistent with this Code of Conduct are encouraged to notify the Real Estate Referral Exchange™ administrative team.
Reports will be reviewed fairly and confidentially whenever practical.
Membership Review
Real Estate Referral Exchange™ reserves the right to review any membership if concerns arise regarding:
- Licensing status
- Professional conduct
- Misrepresentation
- Violations of this Code of Conduct
- Activities that may negatively impact the community
Depending on the circumstances, actions may include:
- Warning
- Temporary suspension
- Membership termination
Membership decisions are made to protect the integrity of the community.

Member Acknowledgment
By applying for or maintaining membership in Real Estate Referral Exchange™, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by this Member Code of Conduct.
Failure to comply with these standards may result in suspension or termination of membership in accordance with our Membership Terms & Conditions.
